Rob Piercy
     
Rob Piercy was born and brought up in Porthmadog, North Wales. He trained as an art teacher, and taught for 15 years. He left teaching in 1989 to concentrate solely on his painting.

Rob is a member of the Royal Cambrian Academy, and the Watercolour Society of Wales. He has had numerous solo exhibitions throughout the UK, and is a regular exhibitor at the prestigious Singer and Friedlander/Sunday Times art prize. In September 2000 he was shortlisted for a prize in the Garrick Milne art prize.

1994: One man show at the Albany Gallery, Cardiff.

1995: High Places, a major collection of watercolours (82 pieces) at Oriel Ynys Mon, Anglesey
1996: Venice. An Exhibition of paintings at the Albany Gallery, Cardiff.
1996: Winner of the inaugural Watercolour Society of Wales Open Competition at the St Davids Hall, Cardiff.
1998: One man show at St Davids Hall, Cardiff.
2000: Runner-up at the prestigious Garrick/Milne Art Prize, Christies, London.
2001: Torri Enw - One man show at the Albany Gallery, Cardiff.
2002: Winner - Welsh Artist of the Year 2002. St Davids Hall, Cardiff.
2003: Exhibitor at the Garrick/Milne Art Prize, Christies, London.

Exhibited regularly at the prestigious Singer & Friedlander / Sunday Times Watercolour Competition.:
